The launch of BEHRENS all-new âOrion Oneâ, the arrival of  Mothership that magnificently opens the infinite future.
You are now invited to embark onboard an interstellar journey with BEHRENS latest creation, âOrion Oneâ, an all-new wristwatch model / micro mechanical art-piece we have designed and developed in the theme of futuristic. Powered by the Cal.SWB18-200 self-winding movement, this new model continues BEHRENSâ classic âtime on a circular axisâ design philosophy concept, and for the first time uses an all- new âtime-shiftingâ mechanism.
The Concept
The inspiration of âOrion Oneâ automatic wristwatch was based on an imagination of the Mothership that the alien would use for traveling to Earth. From which we have designed from scratch, the âOrion Oneâ wristwatch based on this sci-fi and mysterious Mothership appearance. The entire case has up to 40 facets, shaped and polished through a series number of complex processes. At 6:00 position is the twin rollers time display system in âHours & Minutesâ, the rollers numerous are made in raised 3D style (with luminous) to offer a touch of depth and to increase the readability of the time driven by a series of unique pinion gearing mechanisms. In the center of the dial is the small round second dial with raised secondsâ hand that serves as the âRadarâ of the â Mothershipâ. In addition, the case back of the watch is engraved with the outline shape of this Alien sculpture.
The Features
The âOrion Oneâ contains the embodiment of several original patents. Inclusive of a newly designed and developed patented lever type winding / time setting mechanism, allowing the crown to be replaced by a hidden lever to make the watch more playful and as well improve the outlines of the watchâs case without destroying the aesthetic of the watch. By reconstructing the structure of the movement, the delicate coordination of more than 30 components adopted to reproduce BEHRENSâ classic âtime display on a circular axisâ concept, from which the left axis roller displays the hours, and the right axis roller displays the minutes. The watch also features a new patented strap quick-release system, which allows the strap to be quickly removed and reassembled by sliding the pusher mechanism, which greatly improves the ease of strap changing process.
The Functions
The âOrion Oneâ is packed with several useful features. At 12:00 of the dial, it features a linear type 24-hour (Day/Night) display (by a mechanical roller) which was inspired by the historical âmusic boxâ. The date function is displayed at 1:30 position and has a magnifying glass on top making it more legible. The watch has a dimension of 44mm (length) x 38mm (width), thickness of 12.6mm, and a water resistance of 3 bar (30M). The strap is made of fluoroelastomer quick-release strap with higher oxidation resistance, and there are a variety of strap colors that can be used for different wearing scenarios
